If you are buying VINTAGE please have reasonable expectations. Items that are 20+ years old will most likely show some signs of wear. We do our best to point these out and picture or mention any issues. Cotton tends to shrink over time from things like washing and drying. Also, clothing worn outside and, in the sun, can become faded. In general VINTAGE clothing sizes do run SMALLER in comparison to modern sizing.
IN SHORT – PLEASE MEASURE!!! IT’S THE ONLY WAY TO ENSURE PROPER FIT WHEN SHOPPING ONLINE!
MEASUREMENTS ARE TAKEN WITH THE ITEM LAID ON A FLAT SURFACE.
So please consider this – If you are buying a shirt, take a like minded shirt that fits comfortably (button up, t shirt, etc..) and lay flat then measure. If your measurements are like the ones we provide, PERFECT! We strive to make your buying experience as easy as possible! If you look in the photo section, we demonstrate exactly how we measure using a diagram.
Sizes between brands and fabrics always fit a bit differently. This is especially true when it comes to VINTAGE clothing. If you have any questions, or need additional measurements, please ask before purchasing. We are most generally always quick to answer all questions. If you are buying a loved one something VINTAGE as a gift – Please try to get their measurements!
Yes, we do accept returns for all the items we offer. We are confident you will love our product and stand behind our practices. We feel it’s the only fair way to do business. We find that returns generally happen for 2 main reasons – Proper fit (clothing) or Expected condition. We spend many extra hours measuring and listing in hopes to avoid any possible issues but understand that sometimes returns are inevitable. The plain truth is sometimes its hard to tell what an item is or isn’t until you see it in person and are able to touch it. PLEASE ASK US QUESTIONS AND VOICE ANY CONCERNS YOU MAY HAVE – WE ARE VERY RESPONSIVE AND FEEL THAT COMMUNICATION IS THE KEY.
Finally, yes, we will combine shipping on orders! If you are buying multiple items from the Mellow Guppy store just let us know by message. Once you have made all your selections, we will send you a combined invoice. Once you receive our invoice you can make payment. This will save you money on shipping plus you will receive all your items together in one package.
